My fiancé and I have recently broken up, I suspect he is suffering from depression but he won't get help. Since then he has totally withdrawn from me and avoids me at all costs.

I have also realised that I am suffering with anxiety, since he left it has become worse but I am having CBT referred by my doctor and trying different things to help myself. I am also trying to understand my fiancé's behaviour, there isn't much online support for partners of someone who is depressed.

I think it is because you are experiencing so many negative different feelings throughout the day. On top of that you have to continue with your daily routine. Trying to do normal tasks whilst dealing with severe negative emotions can confuse people. Some develop memory problems.

I think the hardest thing for the other reason is not only to try and understand but also how to help, it's the total change in personality and the lack of love. I think this has considerably contributed to my anxiety and just uncertainty for the future.
