Well, I've had anxiety for a really long time (since 1st grade, in fact) and it's slowly coming back after I had thought I conquered it... So I met with my therapist today and she said something about desensitization as a way of getting over my school anxiety.

My school fears include:
-teachers disliking my work
-getting attacked by students (this is because I have a past with getting beat up by so called "friends")
-not turning in homework on time
Along the lines of these ^

So a couple questions... What is desensitization therapy and what can I do with my school fears?

Desensitization therapy is like behaviour therapy I think. It's all about changing your behaviour and how your mind copes with the thoughts you have. As for school it's a tough one I think you are just going to have to throw yourself in there and gradually you will see its not all that bad. I'm sorry you've had bad experiences but I'm sure it can't get any worse for you. Good luck!!
