Hi Everyone,
My name is Julie and I suffer from anxiety with an OCD component. My suffering from this started about 2 1/2 years ago when my mom was diagnosed with cancer and I was diagnosed with postpartum depression. My latest problem is with a muscle twitch that is occurring in my palm of my left hand between my thumb and index finger. I have consulted Dr Google and came up with everything that could be drastically wrong with me such as ALS, Parkinsons, and MS. Although I have ruled out ALS, it still scares that heck out of me. Why can't I just chalk things up as "it will go away" and "its not serious". Also, why can't I just make this anxiety stop. It is causing me to lose sleep, stop functioning almost completely during the day sometimes, and takes over my life. I just want this behavior to go away. I am starting to take Effexor this morning with the hope that I can start taking back my life. But, this muscle twitch is present with my 24/7 so it is something I always think about. I am hoping this this forum will help me to see that I am not going crazy.
