Just wondering if there are many people here with agoraphobia. There doesn't seem to be a lot of activity in the forum in this area. I remember when I attended a group CBT course I was the only one with it so I am guessing it must be uncommon. I always seem to be the odd one out even within a group of oddities.

Hi ~ you're not alone I just found this forum today I have mainly panic attacks but also agoraphobia mostly meetings, planes, long car rides but recently it started happening in restaurants I've had little episodes over the past 5 years but a few months ago it started happening almost daily and not liking the way the anti depressants make me feel

The ADs aren't much help for me either. I have a lot of trouble tolerating them and the last time I stuck with it for a couple of years the agoraphobia progressively worsened. Have you found exposure therapy useful?

I'm the same as seeny but I have had prozac help along with valium when needed and it's pretty much under control. It's always there though at some level and I have to work to manage it. Alankay
