I was just wondering if anyone suffers from general anxiety without the constant worry? Of course I worry about things, but I always see stuff about how someone can't sleep or, this and that etc etc, but I'm more of just feeling anxious for no reason type of person. For instance when I'm trying to fall asleep my general anxiety keeps me up(fast heartbeat, disassociating, feelings up unreality etc) not worry...if this makes sense? Jut wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

I sure am. Right now actually, it's really scary at some points. I feel really panicky, like I can't even get a breath, hopeless, scared everything is wrong with you, just an over all horrible feeling it is. Anxiety can really get to people, like me. Are you on any medication for it?

Yes! Exactly this. Pretty much from the time I wake up until I go to bed. It is constant! I do not take medication. I am very sensitive to meds (always have been, I can't even take gravol) so unfortunately I medication is not an option for me.

I panic at bedtime, in fact from 8pm onwards. I do use meds, but I also use essential lavender pulse oils and I spray the room with lavender oils. I also take a shower just before bedtime if really bad and sounds strange but it helps to calm down. Another way is to listen to an ipod and listen to meditation tapes such as a body scan, I often fall asleep listening to these, I might wake up when they end or during the night because sleeping on top of my ipod, but I am usually still tired enough from listening to it that I fall asleep again.
I have also just started going out for a walk now before night time to get fresh air and try to get tired.
Just some ideas to hopefully help.
