Hi folks,i have been diagnosed with anxiety and have been having some fairly weird medical issues.

I have posted before about chest pain but this week has been an utter nightmare of epic proportions.I am having a pain under my ribs about 2 inches below nipple and having heart pain too,my gp has tried everything to put up roadblocks chalking it up to anxiety all the time.I had an ultrasound this week after seeing the doctor 5 times with chest pain.I have had ecg's, troponin tests, blood tests, chest xray and been evaluated by 5 different doctors. They have all said 'too young for ischemic heart issues'

I would agree but this pain under my nipple is insane,it only happens when i stand quickly or am doing something physically laborious and starts the palpitations like crazy straight away!!!!! not a few seconds after i mean straight away.my family are concerned and i am thinking i need to change to a gp with some form of concern about this,it leaves me shaken for days too and the chest pain furthers the anxiety loads.

Aside from a plethra of physical anxiety symptoms this is literrally getting too much for me,stomach issues and weird flu like symptoms have meant i am losing my job and the respect of my friends.I am wondering if i should change my doctor or maybe plea to her human side for help as these symptoms are scaring me indoors and hiding in my room.

Anybody with a little insight here would really help, thanks

I would recommend being evaluated by a cardio specialist. Not because I recommend doctor chasing, but because it might put your mind at ease if you get a more thorough examination. Heart symptoms should never be dismissed based on age. I don't say that to frighten you, but I think a full set of cardio exams is warranted. I went through the same concerns and it really put my mind at ease after having an EKG, sonogram, 24-hour Holter monitor and stress test to find that my heart is normal and healthy. This sounds like it could be anxiety, but there are a number of things which could trigger palpitations that aren't life-threatening or serious. Sorry you're dealing with this. Most of us here deal with palpitations, too...all ages of people. You're going to be fine, but do whatever you need to do to put your mind at ease. Hope you feel better soon. -Jeff

Thanks jeff,I had a rough night last night.I think the peace of mind would be amazing to be honest.I am panic attack free for 4 weeks with some helpful reading and breathing exercises so thats a mega plus.

I think an event monitor would be a good idea to catch these episodes of palpitations after standing quickly as everytime i get to the doctor it is after the fact?

Its good to know somebody has gone through the same thing and that reassurance alone has helped, thanks

I suffer chest pains and palpertaions everyday... My doctor won't do any test because she said it anxiety and I'm to young to have any heart issues as well. I live in the UK over here we rely on something call the NHS and we have to go with why they say. We get all medical treatment free but I can't afford to go private and have the tests done.

sharacel91 I truly believe its tombstone medicine.unless something goes seriously wrong they believe its minor.I am just frustrated i think, new doctor and a more enthusiastic method of dealing with my symptoms will help enormously i am sure.

I am sure you realise how frustrating it is,I am getting my testing done if its on my own back or the states i will burden the bills rather than let it go.Once i have been given the all clear heartwise and gastric related I am happy to deal with the weird anxiety symptoms.Anxiety is as much physical as mental,I am literally living proof of that.No panic attacks but the pain is real, whether they treat it or not it is there.Anyhow,I shouldn't be ranting sorry its been a long road thus far
