One night the chief told his braves a story. "In my mind, there are two dogs, a white one and a black one," he said. "The white dog represents all the best of my spirit. My love, my hope, my courage and my joy. The black dog represents all that is foul in me, my anger, my hate, my fear and my despair. And in my mind, these two dogs are fighting to the death."
Before the chief could finish his story, one of the braves, who was an impatient man, jumped up and cried, "But which one will win?"
To which the chief answered, "The one that I feed."
I read this in a book today and it said, in just a few words, what others have taken thousands of pages to explain.
