Please someone help!! .... basically I just want to know if this could be anxiety and if anxiety can really cause all of this since all the doctors and er people seem to think it is..?? Tests i have had done: CT scan of head sonogram of neck CT scan of neck with contrast Chest Xray CT scan of chest with contrast 4 OR 5 ekg's echocardigram 24 hr holter monitor sonogram of my pancreas sonogram of my gallbladder 2 pelvic sonograms multiple rounds of blood work to check thyroid, complete blood count, electrolytes, kidney function, and a lot of other things. I have had urine test and stool cultures and probably other test i am forgetting... Symptoms: headaches (one migraine like headache the rest either pressure or tension) dizzy/light headed off balance floaters in eye seeing flashes in eyes blurry vision seeing black spots (not floaters) colored streaks tunnel vision hot flashes chills tight throat tight chest/chest pain palpitations/ tachycardia upset stomach diarrhea nausea numbness in face and head tingles in hands feet and face (mostly tip of nose) tremor weakness racing thoughts weight loss weight gain Frequent yawning Feeling I'm not getting enough air Frequent hiccups and more.... I have been to the eye doctor twice, pcp many times, er 5 times, ent, and a cardiologist. So i just would like to know if anyone has had any of these and is this anxiety!?!?!?!!?!?

I've had almost every single one of those symptoms and always assume the worst which then turns out to be nothing. With all of those tests you would be a medical anomaly to have something they hadn't found! :)

If you look in the stickies there is a post with a long list of classic anxiety symptoms. You'll find all of the ones you just listed are there.

All of them are caused by your body reacting to "threat." except, in our case, there is no real threat, we just think there is. Your body is putting you in fight or flight mode to best cope with the "threat" but unfortunately anxious people find it almost impossible to get out of that frame of mind. After so many days, weeks, months or even years of that it takes its toll on our bodies. An example is that when your body engages fight or flight mode, we start to hyperventilate subconsciously to pump as much oxygen into our muscles as possible, giving us more power to run or fight the "threat" we're facing. Our muscles become tense and after a time begin to ache because of it. This throws out our posture which causes joint ache. The hyperventilating itself will cause us to feel dizzy, faint, have blurred vision etc... I could go on for hours about how much FoF affects our bodies in the long term. Try reading up about it.

Our brain is an incredibly complex organ. It has total an utter control over our body and while it can cause us to feel good, it can also make us feel pretty bad, too.

Beating this is all about training yourself and your brain.

I hope this helped at least a little, sweetheart. I honestly, hand on heart, know exactly how you're feeling and why it is distressing you so much. We're all here if you need us.

Just came across this post. I'm a 21 year old female and I get these symptoms probably every day. You're not alone. It's strange how our minds can physically control our bodied. It's scary because all of our symptoms match major things..

But if you think about it this way.. If it was serious something probably would've already happened a while ago .. Thats how I look at it

Yep, anxiety indeed. It seems "distress" is a common thread in what I read from you and that's anxiety and related symptoms. Tried any talking therapy yet? If not, I recommend it. Alankay
