Hi guys, hope u are all doing well and not having too much of a bad day!

So I started my first dose of escitalopram today, half a 10mg tablet for the first week, then increased to a full tablet from there on.

Just thought I'd log my experience and journey with this medication, as its always reassuring to speak with those who have had similar experiences.

Ill keep this updated on a daily basis to let you know how i get on, and how it might benefit others.

Much love guys and gals! :)

Hi guys and ladies.

It's been one week and one day, and I'm currently on my 9th dose of the medication.

Currently, levels of anxiety are deffo increased but more manageable. I'm yet to have a full-blown panic attack although I have used diazepam 5mg one daily on separate occasions; mainly at night.

Struggling with insomnia and vivid dreams, slight upset tummy and decreased libido. All very manageable, and I am deffo having periods of slight positivity although this may be placebo.

Get quite sleepy mid day but this is probably due to lack of sleep rather than the medications sedative properties.

Overall I am feeling happy with this medication as its a week in, and the side fx haven't been too bad at all! It seems starting on 5mg for a week then increased to 10mg thereafter is a good starting point for those with medication sensitivity :)
