View Full Version : stopping diazepam nearly killed me

hey everyone i am a sufferer of 28 yrs and im usually ok on my meds but the last two years have been terrible for me with nothing seeming to work and depression i was so stressed i had nervous exhaustion a few times and had to stay in bed for weeks.... on may 24 th i decided i was not taking anymore of the diazepam i was taking as it was making me worse after two years on 2 mg 2/3 times a day i stopped them without tapering.... and well im suprised im still here
i have been so ill and its been 9 weeks now i was hospitalised twice but doctors couldnt find anything physically wrong with me... but i was going through hell and still am heres what i go through everyday....
sensitive to noise
sensitive to light
palpitations
heart flutters
stomach problem
bowel problems
heartburn
numbness in arms and legs and face
hissing screaming ears
blurred vision
seeing things
paranoia
reflux cough
burning pain in my chest
pain in chest and head
headaches
jelly shaky legs
nerve jerks/ tremors
muscle spasms
nausea
fatigue severe
no appetite
weight loss
internal trembling/vibrating tummy
dizziness
loss of coordination
loss of balance
difficulty speaking
crying spells
suicidal
night terrors

please for god sake if you are on any kind of benzo please taper really slowly as this syndrome lasts for up to a year or more i even had a brain scan as i was having electric shocks through my head ... happy to say was ok but im in total misery i just want to have my health back.

You will be fine trust your self and believe that God will be with you if you asks his help,
I hope you feels better soon , I guess what u have now is mostly panic attack,,
Soon you will be in a full health just believe in your self , good luck
