Hi just wanting to get people's experiences with Seroquel - I have been prescribed it for major anxiety and depression. What were the side effects like on it?

I am currently on 30mg of Lexapro of a morning and taking beta blockers but I just feel like I'm slipping and the anxiety is taking over again! I'm too scared to take the Seroquel 50mg of a night due to weight gain and day time grogginess plus I'm not even sure it helps with anxiety!

Please let me know your stories it would really help me!

Thanks
Chloe

Hello,
Ive only been on Seroquel for about a week now (25mg), so I dont know how much help I can be. When I first took it at night I passed out and had no clue about the night before. The morning/daytimes weren't too bad groggyness wise though. The hunger has been major for me. I went from eating once a day, to eating ALL day! The problem that I have now is that it's not helping me sleep anymore!

I think it's a common drug that doctors give for anxiety. I don't think it's addictive like others out there. I can't really say that it's been helping me stay calm as I just changed my antidepressants! So im really no help at all. But I would try it once at least.

Hi fuzzylilkisses,

Thanks for your reply. I'm on nu second night and like you I was knocked out last night not so bad.

I haven't yet got the munchies and am hoping I won't because I put on 10kgs with avanza!!

I too and supposed to be changing my anti depressant in a month so hopefully its helpful with that. But my main problem is anxiety so I'm hoping it really helps with that! I'm on 50mg a night! Has it helped with your anxiety or is it still there?

What anti depressant are you on now?

:)

Hi!

I just got off Lexapro lol. I'm on Luvox now. I'm not sure if Seroquel has helped with the anxiety, but it initially helped with sleep and wanting to eat again. I'm in a bad patch at the moment, so not much is helping me personally. I hope it's different for you!

Hello !
I was on Seroquel for about 2 1/2 Weeks and it was just terrible for me. I had a terrible side effect of trouble breathing and it didn't help to much with the anxiety. Although I've heard it's differnet for everyone.
It also made me suer drowsy and lethargic.
