Am i going through depression?

Hi all,

I'm not sure if what I'm going through is depression or not. I seem to swing from being OK with everything to bouts of feeling so low I want to pack my stuff and leave my wife and stepson.

In recent years life has been hard. I haven't seen my parents for nearly a year which has been on my mind, plus my wife loosing her job, so financial worries, plus I have had a mystery illness which docs couldn't diagnose.

I find life in general hard work, even coping with my wife and stepson I find very difficult. I have taken depression tests and they say I'm not. So what is wrong with me?

Sounds like ur overwhelmed with life. Happens alot... Its hard to get focused. I personally hate the overwhelming.

I suppose I do. Tonight for instance iv worked overtime at work I have come home and both my stepson and my wife are in foul moods just feels like wherever I turn at the moment there's someone there to criticise me.
