Hi there,

I am new to this forum. I have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and everytime I wake up in the morning, I vomit. It is quite scary, but my doc says there are a lot of nerves in the stomach and that's why I'm throwing up. After noon, the nausea seems to go away. I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced these symptoms and what relief they found if any.

Thanks a bunch!
M.

Hi Maria, I have anxiety/panic and social phobia. I don't vomit myself in the mornings. What I do, is, wake up with a churning stomach and a strong feeling of fear, that lasts most of the day.

I can go to sleep not being anxious, so don't understand myself what causes so much anxiety in the mornings. I feel that vomiting the next step. But don't worry as I know it is one of the many feelings that go with anxiety. Daisy

I almost always feel horrible in the mornings. I believe that most people with GAD feel so bad in the mornings is because of how much of a shock it is waking up from a peaceful sleep.
