what causes anxiety to feel like your heart in beating in your throat? does anyone know?

Well, I'm not a doctor, but I would guess it's just a result of your heart beating harder and faster, and you can feel it pounding in your major arteries and veins.

The solution, of course, is to deal with the anxiety causing this, and not worry about the physical side effects for now.

I know it's hard to do, because the physical symptoms just reinforce your anxiety making you think something is wrong with your body, but it's just anxiety.

I bet it is because the muscles in your neck/throat are tighter due to the anxiety, and your pulse is more rapid due to the anxiety. With tighter muscles, they will be closer to the arteries and the more rapid heart beat will be more easily felt in your tight neck/throat.
