I have a getaway apartment across town and I couldn't be more relieved to be here. a minivan full of my wife's family just pulled in to our primary place. instead of trying to pull the words of a positive, coherent sentence together with the appropriate facial gesture, I'll be fixing a large alcohol beverage and heading to a Thai place around the corner for some down time.

if that works out, this will only be a top 10 worst day of the year, which is a welcome downgrade from where thing were at 90 minutes ago.

Having a getaway apartment across town sounds like it will give you the calm, peaceful, quiet zone to relax instead of being in a stressful, noisy, crowded, overbearing environment.
