Before I was on Zoloft, I used to get full blown panic attacks, the racing heart, tingling, tightened muscles, it was uncomfortable, but, now when I have full blown panic attacks with Zoloft, it's like I feel nothing! I can't even taste food, I feel like everything is surreal..it's awful! Today I had a full blown attack while at a restaurant. I was feeling hungry already from not having eaten all day (hunger is a major trigger of attacks for me) so I was all upset, then suddenly, I felt like the light looked weird and I fell into an attack and felt like I couldn't sense or feel anything, like it was all a dream. I know it was a full blown attack of adrenalin, but I couldn't feel all the sensations that go with it..
So after having a third attack like this. I'm questioning whether I really wanna continue on Zoloft, what's the point? I feel like I'd rather be feeling pins and needles and racing heart than this creepy lack of any feeling/surreal feeling I get with Zoloft attacks.
I'm not sure what to do at this point. The Zoloft isn't a problem any other time than when I get a major attack like today.
has anyone else experienced something like this?
I have been taking 50 mg of Zoloft for a year, and after doctor's visit, am now up to 100, I just started the 100 last week, so I suspect it will take probably a month for that to have much effect.
