You should be totally fine taking a multi and D with your meds. I also had low vitamin d and i feel 75% better just from bringing it up. May I ask what your level was at when you had it checked?

You should take anywhere from 1000-5000IUs of vitamin D3 daily. I find the gel caps are more effective than the dry stuff. You want your levels to be above 60.

I had no idea vitamin D3 could have to do with anxiety! Funny I recently started taking a suppliment if it because I heard it can help with weightloss......I'm going to do what I do best and research/google.
Thanks for this post

I have low D also. I was on prescription D (50,000 IUs) weekly until I reached a therapeutic level. Now I take 2,000 IUs every other day. I just asked my doctor about a multivitamin because it contains Vitamin D and she said "absolutely" because with a deficit, it would take quite a bit to reach a toxic level.

I do not know, but I know if it does not help , it does not harm also so happy taking, today I am going to up it. I take it for two months or so, and also the iron supplement from the doc and I feel better but i have no idea what helps. Is it the meds or the vitamins. Maybe combination of that plus the forum with constant support :))

There are two major forms of vitamin D-
Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol)
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol)

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) – which is made in large quantities in the skin when sunlight strikes bare skin. It can also be ingested from animal sourcesl this the one I take...:)
