Iv just started sertaline 50mg 2days ago and im already feeling disjointed from my surroundings, is this normal? How long will it last? Makes me feel really rubbish

Hello I started sertraline 50g once a day yesterday morning and I felt abit out of it on the first day and I'm tired today,I'm going to keep with it tho and hope it helps as I've had enought crazy thoughts no stop in my head and being so Anxious all the time,good luck with it x

Hello I've had my panic attacks for so many years on and off,I've not had a mega bad one that's lasted as long as this one has and I just wanted to know if anyone else has thoughts in there head that are non stop and make your Anxiety worse? My thoughts are oh what if I hurt my loved ones and go to Prison,yes the most crazy thought I know as I adore my kids and husband,I've been put on sertraline 50g yesterday and I hope they will help me as I feel like I'm going mad,tho I know I'm not,I hate feeling like this and just want to be the happy person that I was again,dam you Panic and anxiety x

Iv get kinda get like that sometimes, i woke up the other night and swore i was dead and stuck in my body (sounds mad i know) it feel so real and had a massive panic attack, full blown freak out. I think what if this happens, why are they looking at me and it makes me so unsure about everything :-/ x

Sertraline is a good med. It cured my dizziness,anxiety and vertigo.

I was on it for two months at 50 mg. Then when nothing happened doctor increased the dose to 100 mg and it started working immediately. Very good experience with sertraline/zoloft here.

I'm still on it. One year on it. The side effect people report are low sex drive and feeling tired among others. I tried to stop the med suddenly and felt the SSRI discontinuation syndrome (brain zaps).

It takes time for an SSRI to work. Give the med atleast one month. In the mean time ask your pdoc for a benzodiazepine if your anxiety is bad.

I'm on Propanolol 10g three times a day to so I hope it works as I've had enough feeling like this and my minds on the go all the time

I personally think that beta blockers(propranol) are not as good as benzos. You can also try adding exercise to your routine. One of the reason I was able to best anxiety in a short time is because I used to workout regularly.

I've been on 100mg of sertraline for 9 years they really helped me but last year I got worse than ever n doctor upped them to 200mg with 2mg of diazepam when I felt we'll again I reduced them and was fine for a few months now feeling bad again not as bad as last year but I've upped them again to 150mg and am seeing how its going to work
