I have had issues for 8 years since my first panic attack anxiety in work/social situations and dizzyness/lightheadedness. Until this weekend when my legs gave out at a cookout where I fell hurt my ankle and wrist with no warning at all. I am now more nervous than ever.

Kamala - so sorry that your anxiety and panic attacks have got worse so that have now hurt yourself physically too. Panic and anxiety attacks are horrible and difficult to handle when at work or socialising. It is very easy to let them stop you working or socialising. So if you are managing to keep working and socialising whilst having them then you are doing amazingly well.
Just remember when the attacks happen to consciously deep breath and slow breath, this will help stop the dizziness and light headedness get so bad that you fall etc. Calming yourself down by concentrating on your breathing will help you lots, and it is easily done at work or when socialising without anyone else being aware that you are doing it, so that you don't call attention to yourself.
Another technique to help I have just learned is accupressure - holding the thumb or fingers of one hand with the fingers and thumb of the other hand. Your thumb is for worry and your middle finger is for fear - so during your anxiety attacks as well as deep, slow breathing I find it helps to hold my thumb of my left hand with the fingers of my right hand over the top and the thumb of my right hand underneath and squeeze and it takes away the worry of the attack as well.
Hope this helps for you sometimes, but it sounds like you are doing really well to continue even with the attacks happening.

I know what you mean but think people realise it is anxiety so theyb are able to calm themselves down before weakness and dizziness gets too much.
