I have absolutely no drive today. I just feel like sleeping till tonight. Then sleeping through the night. This never used to be me. Any advice? :[

Did you ever feel better that day? I know when I get this "red light stop" that I have to focus to what I want. What may normally take me three minutes to manage on a "green light go" can take me twenty minutes, so I plan ahead to put the heavy stuff first, and then something fun. I have stress toys I use to help me move as well. I hope you are doing better today.

When I have no motivation to do much, I'll often force myself to go out for a walk or watch a funny movie.

Ask yourself this: If your depression suddenly disappeared, what would you be doing right now? Force yourself to do one of those things.

Doing so can really help.

So easy to think sleeping all day is easy way out because not have to think or cope with do anything. But it is worse thing you can do. You must each day at least get up and dressed and then do as little as you feel like, but at least something. I used to have certain things I had to achieve every day - even small things like meditate on breath for 5 minutes or scan read the local newspaper. I would have to check them off a list i had done them each day and then would feel i had archieved something instead of staying asleep. When really bad I could not go out, not even into the garden, but if you can go out, just a 5 minute walk looking at the nature and things around you, not worrying, can do wonders and then gradually you can increase the time out walking as feel better.

I do everything as normal, get a shower, look for jobs, get dressed , eat balanced and all that. But i dont feel like I need to do anything. Even though I do.
