Paroxetine to Fluoxetine

Hi guys,


Has anyone tried to come off paroxetine and go onto fluoxetine? Do you find it does the same thing?

I changed about 4 months ago and I'm now starting to get anxiety on a really regular basis, I really think I need to change back.

From what dose to what dose? There is a difference in the half lives of these two. Prozac the longest and paxil about the shortest. Luvox might be a better option if paxil popped out for you as it also has a short half live like paxil. Paxil is kind of a unique AD in the class of ssri's. Very anxiolytic. Alankay

20mg to 20mg

That should be right so it could take some time to adjust. If you keep having trouble ask about upping the dose(30-40mg), trying luvox or even going back to paxil. Just some thoughts. Alankay

Thanks alankay. I've upped to 40mg and will give or time to kick in
