I've suffered from anxiety for a while now. For about the past 5 or 6 years i've had panic attacks. Some were not that bad but there were times where I felt like id rather die then to have this horrible helpless feeling like I was doomed or something. I've been to hospitals and they all tell me the same. Generalized anxiety disorder. I've learned to pretty much just live with it. I think I've done a pretty good job of keeping calm when I feel the symptoms and trying to just get through it but that was only after so many frightening episodes. But I am definitely not anxiety free. I sometimes still have panic attacks that can get very severe and they often come randomly without warning. I know how scary it can be and sometimes trying to reach out to family or friends can seem like a burden on them because they simply don't understand what you are feeling. It may look like you are fine on the outside but they don't kno the frightening, crippling feelings and emotions that u experience wen having a panic attack. Only a real sufferer of anxiety can understand it because they have been through it. It makes me feel so much better to know that I am not alone in my daily battle with anxiety/depression. Thanks to u all for your stories. God bless.

Sounds like you really understand your body and what happens and how to cope etc. Really good to hear that even with all these problems we can still carry on with our lives in our own way.
