I've had anxiety for years, but recently it's come on again like I've not had in nearly a decade. The problem this time is that there is no trigger, I'm stuck in my attack 24/7. I can't figure out what started it, even more worrying is what's keeping it going. I'm so afraid it is due to age and my control is gone. My absolute last hope is medicine, but I don't want to be dependent. I miss myself, my peace. If anyone else has this, I really need help.

When I'm up I pace fast and talk to myself. I have to make noise constantly. I sing out loud all the time. I bounce around and laugh and giggle about everything. When I am down my heart races and my brow furrows for hours at a time, I clench my jaw, I stutter and lose my focus on simple things including short conversations. I stomp and thrash. I've hurt myself and scream uncontrollably. This has been non stop for days now and I know I've been more severe in my attacks so its making it worse with worry.

Yeah it sounds like anxiety and your attempts to calm or distract yourself. I'd go see a doc to seem if you can get some relief and maybe a blood test done, etc. Alankay

You may also want to ask your doctor to do a blood test to check your thyroid. I have a hyperthyroid and when it's flaring I am in "high speed" 24/7. I have to keep pacing, moving, squirming, my heart rate is up and I'm hot all the time. And you're so fired up you can't even sleep which makes everything worse. Good luck..... hope you feel better soon.
