May sound crazy but will I die early if I started taking blood pressure meds at an early age of 30? I'm on a very small dosage but it freaks me out

You've got much more chance of living with your blood pressure in check :) If you're on a low dose, and you're only 30, surely it means it's only temporary anyway right? Just to help until you get things in check?

What were your numbers, do you know?

Nope. Doesn't mean you will die early. Im on BP meds for about 4 years now....on a small dose of a diuretic. If anything, we are on a good course of being aware of our bp issues. A lot of people are not aware until they have a major event take place. Also, just know that you may not have to be on bp meds for life if the bp issues are due to lack of diet and exercise. I've changed my life quite a bit in terms of diet and exercise, as I would like to hopefully be able to function without the meds one day.

Sounds like it is good they have realised you need the medication and safer to be on the medication than not be if you have a blood pressure problem. I think quite a lot of people have this problem when young, so not a problem.

Now that you are on the BP meds? What were they before you were prescribed the BP meds? At my highest, (and right after a CSection) mine was 186/120. With the meds, I am usually 117/120 over 70-80.

With the meds mine run 115-120 over 69-80. I take a very low dosage of medicine. I thought mine was fine before then I had a bad panic attack then boom! Now I have blood pressure problems ?!?!?
