We spend quite a bit of time in here working through our problems, which is great and I appreciate everyone on this board but...........

What is going right in your life?

Just list one thing, anything that you can think about and smile. Just to change where your head is right this minute.

Gotta be at least one thing

Can I get a hell yeah? Ok, we can work on that.

I'll go. Thankful that I am furiously typing this at work and the people in the office think I'm a real go getter

And of course I just appreciate everything in my life, the good and not so good. The good I will make better and the not so good I will make great.

Good idea for a thread! I begun doing this everynight before bed. I had terrible insomnia, and I read something by Deepak Chopra, that said, forget worrying about sleep, lie awake if you must, and just list everything about the day that you enjoyed or that you were grateful for, until you gently fall asleep. I thought I had a terrible life, until I realized an hour later I was still naming stuff in my head.

Right now, for me, the sun is shining after a long cold winter. Feels good :)

Today just pleased Dr decided to give me more time off work, couldn't make decision myself, but know it is right. So really pleased with my Dr today - hope that counts!

I hear you on the long cold winter : ) just starting to finally feel like Spring here.

I agree - it's so easy to focus on the negative aspects of our lives; I'm dealing with health anxiety, and often get down and feel like my life sucks - then I think "why don't you go down to the Childrens Hospitals' pediatric cancer ward and tell all the kids how bad your life stinks!"

It could ALWAYS be worse my friends - don't forget that : )

I'm grateful I have wonderful family & friends
I'm grateful I have an amazing partner
I'm grateful I have a job I like
I'm grateful I am fit & healthy (took me a while to convince myself with that one)

When you outweigh the pros to the cons, does give you a lift that's for sure

So I was cruising in my most fancy of cars this morning.............

And I see an old woman doing her best impression of what appeared to be running

So I stopped and asked if she was ok

She pointed to her dog that got out of the house.

I should have left.

And let the fuc!in dog get hit

But I I didn't.

I chased that pooch for 15 minutes while Mama Cass cheered me on.

Well I caught "Muffin"

Muffin proceeded to get dirt, slobber and hair all over me.

Did I mention I was dressed to the 9's? LOL

Mama Cass, or Anna as I know now, tried to give me $1 for my trouble

My simple pleasure is that elderly people went up a notch in my book today

That was really nice of you to stop and help her even though you ended up a mess from the dog. She probably didn't have much to give but wanted to show her appreciation.

Tell the rest of the story Nixon; the part where you snatch her handbag and drive off with it, and call her an 'ungrateful b***h' for only offering you a dollar. ;)
