My brother who is a Physician Assistant said that anxiety can lower your immune system which can in turn make it easier for you to get sick. Is this true? I was SUPER anxious a while ago and my throat felt like it was closing and super tight. Now the whole right side of my throat is in killer pain all the way up to my right ear and giving me a headache. Took two weeks for it to get to this point. Could he be right?

Possibly - though I've always had anxiety, but unfortunately it's gotten worse in that past few months; anyway, despite having health anxiety - ironically, I'm nearly never traditionally sick (knock on wood); I haven't had a fever in years, no flu, etc. I've had sniffles, or a cough for a few days but haven't been bed ridden from a cold/flu/virus in forever.

Which is kinda weird considering I dwell on my health/well being.

I think if you are in a state of high anxiety, a long time maybe. Alankay
