Dr perscribed me klonopin today as a take as needed medicine. He also said if I feel like I need it too often that he could switch me to Wellbutrin. I'm nervous about having to take something everyday. But I feel like it might really help with my anxiety and no energy problems. Anyone else on Wellbutrin? What's your experience, good or bad?

Wellbutrin made my anxiety worse. I have been on klonopin for almost 2 months and I love it. I was also afraid of taking something' everyday. I'm taking the klonopin at night and Effexor in the morning. Since I have been on the Medication I'm 90% better. I have even started exercising again. My therapist says that I will not be on it forever. He will be working with me on dealing with the anxiety and what to do if I feel it coming on.

How has your experience been with Effexor? How long have you been on it? My doc just prescribed it and I took my first one today. Nervous about it though. Any input you have would be great.

I'm sure the klonopin will help with anxiety but wellbutrin is more for depression only. SSRI's are usually tried first when anxiety is primary issue but some also try wellbutrin for anxiety with depression. Alankay

The Effexor has worked wonders. I started out with 75 mg, but I just felt so tired. I couldn't even make it to 8:00 before I was in bed. I'm now taking 225 mg and I'm having no problems. Like I said, I have even started exercising again. I'm starting out slow, but hopefully will get to where I was before. I take 1 klonopin pill at night to help sleep. I really am starting to feel like a new person. Once he upped my dosage I could tell a difference within a couple days. Hope it works for you

I'm so glad it has worked for you! I've only been on the Effexor for two days and I have been extra tired at night. Not sure if it's the med or the anxiety wearing me out. I was also prescribed klonopin but haven't taken it yet. I'm worried about dependence. I only have a general feeling is anxiety, haven't had a full blown panic attack for three days or so (knock on wood)

Today is my fourth day and I am still an anxious mess. I hope it works soon.

I take 150 mg of Wellbutrin XL and 75 mg of Zoloft in the morning and I think they work really well together.

jbevis, I am in no way a doctor, but from what I remember, Effexor and all medication of this kind can take a few weeks before building up in the system and to work

Yeah I know. Its just so hard to wait for it to work when it may not even work in the end. ...
