Does anyone drink chamomile tea to help with anxiety?

If so, how much is recommended daily?

Yes, I try to drink a cup nightly before I go to bed. It's very calming.

I tried it but unfortunately don't like the taste - gone back to good old Horlicks(light variety of course). Do find essential oils help at night and during day, and other herbal teas I do like help too.

How do you use the essential oils?

Midnit - I use essential oils by burning them with a little water on a burner. When I had anxiety, I inhaled them with water. Very, very relaxing.

I like 2 tea bags of organic chamomile with a tea bag of mint. 1/4 teaspoon raw organic honey dropped in after it cools for a few minutes. Its amazing! I use tea bags twice. So this will make 2 cups of tea. When your done fill it up with hot water again. There is also a Chamomile/Lavender/Lemon Grass mix that is fantastic! http://www.iherb.com/Traditional-Medicinals-Herbal-Tea-Organic-Chamomile-with-Lavender-Caffeine-Free-16-Tea-Bags-85-oz-24-g/41694
During anxiety I'd do 2-3 chamomile tea bags with honey, and fill it up a 2nd time. I did this about 2 times a day.
That herb formula I love, Eastern Essentials Calm and Relaxed, I would sometimes wash those pills down with chamomile tea for the ultra anxiety herbal combo. http://www.easternessentials.com/store/other-remedies/stay-calm-and-relaxed-formula/

Adding 1/4 - 1/2 tsp honey really makes chamomile taste incredible. let it cool slightly before adding honey. Use raw organic honey.

I drink it as well with raw local honey. I also take lavender oil baths. I am huge believer of natural remedies, but I am on low medication as of now.

Essential oils - you can get a list of essential oils on internet and what they are good for. You can then buy the ones you need either on line or go to a good shop and buy the proper essential oils. You can then mix a few drops of the oils in with a base oil - I use almond base oil, but there are a few you can use - and then put your mixture into a burner to smell in the room or I put it on a tissue and carry it around so smell it when need relaxing etc. I have friends who massage their made up oils into their skin so help all day. Holland and Barrett are good at advising you if new to it. Some oils like frankincense are expensive but others like orange are not. Holland and Barrett often have offers on oils. Hope this helps,
