So my therapist and I have ben working on me setting boundaries with the people closest to me. The biggest issue that I have is guilt from sayung no to things I really dont want ti do or cant do. ys know telling some one no, then when I might need them they tell me no, which happens almost 100% of the time any ways. Here is my most recent prob. My friend and neighbor is going thru a custody battle over her 3 oldest kids. When she gets them for the weekend the meeting place its 2 hours away. She found out today that her license is expired. Called me ti ask if I would drive to take the kids home. I just had oral surgery and am still on pain meds that cause me to be loopy or knock me out. I had just taken one and laid down. Told her that and she seems to be very upset with me. The man she is living with (the father of her youngest child) just happened to be off work today. Why did she get so mad at me when he could have taken her, or she could have just remembered to renew her license?

Her fault not yours. You're doing the right thing while being on pain meds. No driving if you feel loopy. End of story. Alankay

I agree with alankay. Their fault not yours. And if you are not use to pain killers don't drive after you have taken one. They will impair you vision.
I also feel guilty for saying no to people. Most of the time I don't then when they walk all over me I get mad at myself for not saying no. I'm slowly learning how to say no. Slowly. Very slowly.
