I am new to anxiety medications and I was searching and found this one. Has anyone ever taken it and what did you think about it? I'm looking for medications that are non addictive.

When I first started out, I did Celexa at 25mg. It did wonders. Non habit forming, too. Had little to no side effects. But my body became immune to it, and it stopped helping. But that's me! :)

I use it from time to time. It's not as strong as the benzos but not nearly as habit forming. It generally gives me a very mellowed out feeling following by an irresistible urge to sleep a couple hours later. It works fairly quickly but has a pretty long half life, so I think it's a good alternative to benzos. You should talk to your doctor about it tho, as I am not a doctor.

Propranolol helps a lot too, and it can be taken in the day time because it's not generally sedating. Just makes you calm. It makes me dizzy tho, but that might be because of my low heart rate. Talk to your dr. about it.

Just make sure to tell the doctor all of the symptoms! Make a list or like a diary log!!
