Lots of dreams last night and once or twice nearly got up but stayed in bed until 5 which was good. Everything goes round in head at night, especially when gone to bed in bad mood. Had week's leave but wasted it with bad moods and tempers every day.

Sounds to me like your holding stuff in and it's eating you alive. You need someone to talk to. Someone you can unload a bunch of stuff on. Trust me, when you get everything off your chest, you'll sleep wonderful. Find a good friend or get a counselor. Get down on your hands and knees before bed and pray.

My doctor has suggested ringing the Samaritans to off load to because you don't need anyone to know all about you to off load to. They are good and will listen how long you need them to. It might help you sleep if you have off loaded from your head to them first.
I use meditation to get things out of my head so go to sleep. Not always work and still have lots nights on settee with no sleep but these things help me often, so might help you too.

Nothing worked with sleep last night - been on settee all night. Know all techniques to use but some nights just can't apply them. Head just on overdrive and feels so woolly can't act and use techniques should use.

Another night on the settee. I know so many ways to stay in bed but some nights I just have to get up. End up dozing on and off all night and feel dreadful the next day.

Hi Lin I am the same. I was given the number of Life Line by my dr. But still I have trouble talking to anyone. It is easy to type a message online people can't see or hear me.

Yes my Dr said to offload on Samaritans if not need anyone who knows you. But sometimes I need talk to someone who knows me and knoiws from my file what stops me doing something stupid. So i ring a NHS Crisis number then but they are only 5.30-11.30 and weekends. In office hours used to like speaking to one nurse, but now told have to ask for duty nurse which is not the same. Have they told you why you lost named support?

No that's most of my problem can't be around strangers can't talk to strangers even on the phone.I am starting to argue with myself now it is like hearing 2 voices in my head. One says give up the other says you can't. I am not sure which one will eventually win. But I am just so sick of it

I have decided to try and fight for named support nurse like I used to have. A nurse on my NHS course is talking to my psychiatrist for me, and when desperate and phoned Crisis on Monday night they said they would back the nurse helping me and also say I need named support. If neither of this works, I am going to ask my doctor to ask for me. I need a person I can talk to when desperate not just a duty officer who has no time. Also, when I had regular appointments it was not such a bother to my husband because it was routine and he didn't have to know I was desperate. Now when I try ringing for help he knows I am desperate and he hates it.
