I try so hard to do well in school but when I get sick I quit trying. It makes me feel stupid but I just don't want to do anything. I spend most of my time trying to be mindful but now I'm just withdrawn until I feel better. Is that bad? I have a test tomorrow and but all I want to do is watch Netflix. Should I study?

First of all, glad you killed the dragon.......
And of course, feeling as you do, just watching Net Flix is soooooo tempting. Maybe break down the studying thing into small increments. Like commit yourself to studying for a manageable period of time, like 10-15 minutes per hour. You can even set a timer and then do the same thing in the following hour. This can go a long way to relieveing both your anxiety today and any anxiety you feel about the test tomorrow. Gives you some real control over your conflicting feelings re NetFliks versus studying. Worth a try. Has worked for me.

You just need a little kick in the butt time to time. How about studying, then watch Netflixs as your reward? Make a reward system for yourself. It's kinda like a dog and learning new tricks. He wants the snack by far more then learning the trick, but then he realizes he will get the treat AFTER he does the trick. Makes everyone happy :)
