Hey All

Basically today I had my 1st Therapy session in like 10 years and was given Lexapro 20 mg and Kalonipin or however its spelled in replacement of Ativan for Anxiety and Lexapro for both Anxiety and Depression. I also take Metformin 1000 mg and now Lisinopril 10 mg and Pravastatin Sodium 20 mg and Glipizide 5 mg. Also Metoprolol 25 mg which I believe is the beta blocker which I was told is to help reduce my high heart rate. Im just overwhelmed and feel like this is way to much medication and or some will mix bad with 1 another, last thing I need is more f'd up symptoms/side effects so im just concerned especially with the beta blocker as I am a heart hypochondriac. Opinions? Thanks so much for any feedback.

That's a pretty low dose of Metoprolol so doubt it will bother you. I don't blame you for wanting fewer meds. Alankay

It is a low does but I still would look up withdraws because they stink! Rapi heart beat and high blood pressure. If you really don't have a major heart problem I would not take them. If it is only for fast heart beat due to anxiety then I would just take xannax or something like that to calm you down. I am trying to get off a beta blocker now for fast heart rate due to anxiety, no major heart problems and it is not easy. And I was given 25mg and cut that up in 4's and only take 1 a day which is not very much at all and still are having withdraw symptoms that are making me continue taking them because I hate a fast heart beat:( but I am still determined to get off this pills!
