I was prescribed 25mg of Zoloft for my constant anxiety and I couldn't bring myself to take it until now. I'm so terrified of a medication that messes with my brain when I'm already scared something is wrong with it. I don't want to have serious side effects like suicidal thoughts or seizures :/ Sigh I'm just really scared.
Has anyone had luck with this? I really need to get better I'm just so scared to.

You're going to be fine. I've been on 50 mg of zoloft for 3 days and the only side effect I've had is drowsiness. If you do have feelings of suicide, call your doc immediately.

Your doc wouldn't have given you the prescription if he knew it wasn't the best for you. Calm down, take it and call a friend to be you safety net for the night by maybe calling every 10 hrs to see how it's going.
Good luck.

I was scared as well. I waited till myhusband was home with me to take it. I took 50 MG and I woke up feeling drowsy and jittery the next morning..so the next time I took it I reduced it to 25MG and I felt way better. I've been on 25 MG for a week now and so far it's going good. If you're scared just make sure someone is with you to calm your nerves:) You will be fine!

Hey guys, thanks for the helpful advice (:
I feel fine so far, but noticed my vision is a bit blurry. Is that okay?

I do believe that is a side effect.

I've been on 75mg Zoloft for about 4 months now. The first 2 weeks I started taking it were dreadful. I was nauseous all the time, constant jitters & couldn't keep my legs still, light sensitivity, & the list goes on. I'm glad i stuck with it because I have noticed a slight improvement in my anxiety. I'm not where I'd like to be, but it's a start. :) good luck with it!!

I'm on Zoloft too(100 mg) for anxiety, panic, dizziness etc. It does not have that many side effects on me. I noticed drowsiness and shaking hands.

I'm sure you will be fine, but if you are having any side effects that you are unable to cope with contact your Dr immediately.
try think of the zoloft as helping your brain instead of messing with it :)

I've been on 25mg of zoloft for 1 week and upping my dose to 50mg tomorrow..I'm actually looking forward to the 50mg 'therapeutic dose' for me..It improved my life greatly in the past and when I was off the medication for 2 years (decided to have a break) I was exhausted by my anxiety..Now I'm happy to be back on it..It is already improving my relationship (i always had catastrophic thinking, worried about a break up, everytime we had a minor argument)..Now my partner has also noticed the positive difference! Keep at it..
A couple of weeks of side effects, possible headaches, etc are worth a year of feeling much better :)
