Hey guys and gals.
I have had an epic allergic reaction to... Something. I don't know exactly what. I am covered in bumps and a rash that is super itchy; it's all over my hands and covers my thighs to my tummy and everything in between :(
I went to my GP today - not the regular doctor I see, just a guy at the practice and he confirmed it was an allergy and recommended I take phenergan to help with the itchiness. Now all my details are at this practice and I have had Valium prescribed from there in the past. However, when I googled the effects to ensure it was safe to take both, the interwebz said that there could be moderate interactions between the two drugs. (The interwebz also told me I most likely had scabies.... Which was the reason I went to the GP in the first place!!)
I have the UK version of phenergan as well, not the watered down AU version.
Had anyone had any problems with combining these two medications?
I ended up taking another kind of antihistamine that I know is quite safe to take on my medication, but it makes me feel a bit anxious because I get an even more rapid heart beat and dry mouth from it.
I currently take 2.5 mg of Valium per day in the morning and have no other allergies that I know of - this is my first ever allergic reaction to anything!
