Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and need some advice please.
I have suffered from major depression for atleast the last 12 years and been on many drugs like Lexpro, Effexor, Pristiq, Endep, Zyprexa and Seroquel.
Since the premature birth of my secound son I have had major anxiety issues and am currently taking 100mg Pristiq in the morning and 100mg Seroquel at night.
I am suppose to be on 150mg of Seroquel but I'm groggy enough on the 100mg and could not function when I was on the 150mg.
The Pristiq has been great with my depression but it increases my blood pressure too much and my psych thinks this drug may be increasing my anxiety and I have a sensitivity to too much serotonin that causes the anxiety.
My anxiety is much better but still not at a level I am happy with and I am having to take some diazepam every now and again.
So today my psych said he would like me to come off the Pristiq and Seroquel and go onto Avanza.
He said I would be bombed out for the first 3 days and mostly sleep and then be a little hazzy for a couple of weeks.
I have put on a little weight with the Seroquel and Avanza has a weight gain side affect too so I am concerned with this.
Has anyone tried Avanza and what are your thoughts?
