Hi all, starting citalopram tonight 10mg was wondering if I need a back up if I get side affects, can I take propranolol 10mg too?

What does that mean?

The two work differently. Propranolol counter acts adrenaline and citalopram boosts serotonin. At 10mg I doubt you have much in the way of problems. Alankay

Thankyou! So the propranolol will help calm me down?

Propranolol will regulate your heart rate so you can take them when you feel your chest starting to pound & it will help.

Nope! :,-( I dunno what's wrong with me! Why can't I just take it! As soon as I pick it up I start sweating and am on the verge of having a pa, just getting silly now!

I'm scared that I will take a citalopram, start to get panicky and then the diazepam wont work quick enough!

It should work within 30 minutes

That all makes such sense, Thankyou!

I know that I have two choices here...

1-take the pill and look forward to getting better.. OR
2-don't take the pill and work out my next plan of action!

Tbh with you, sitting here right now I feel like my mind is a ball of cotton wool, like I'm not real, super anxious and I feel detached from everyone and everything. I find I can't sit still for to long because I can't control my thoughts or actions.

I am in a state and I'm just confused to which way I should choose.
