change in meds, escitalopram?? any other good ones

hi, i am on mirttazapine 45mg been on them for few years me and the doctor agreed a change is needed as if anything ive been getting worse. he recommended escitalopram just wondered if anyone knows what they or like or any other good tablets. i know everyone is differant but just trying to get a better outlook.

My Mum has had a really positive result with this a/d after trying a number of other medications.
She had very few side effects and it has had a really positive impact on her life and on her depression.

Make sure you keep in touch with your doctor about any side effects you may experience or any changes in mood.

I tried it but it was not as helpful as I hoped but we are all different. This one is building a good reputation as it is the most selective (acts on only serotonin) which lead to fewer side effects. Give it a fair trial. Alankay
