My jaw pops a lot and I've been noticing lately if I push on the side of my face, I get pain in my jaw bone. Anybody else experience this?

I have been getting a lot of jaw pain recently, it was really worrying me because I was getting the jaw pain with the left arm and chest pain so it sent me into a craze!
I went to the dentist yesterday and they told me that my teeth are very chipped through grinding my teeth and asked if I am stressed or anxious! I have never had a problem with my teeth never ever. I told her about the jaw pain and she said to me that its in relation to my grinding and chipped teeth and they are now getting me a mouth guard maybe that's what you need! Google jaw excersies they really help

Hi. I get sore jaw right up into the ear. I relate it to tension due to the anxiety. Try teaching yourself to relax your facial features. You might not be aware of even how much you may clench your teeth together being so unaware. I even gently massage my face to try and help with relaxation. Friendly regards to you. X

Had this about three weeks ago, panicked because I was worried something serious was up with my jaw. In my case my right ear blocked up so I was deaf in one ear for about three to four days. Never occurred to me that it was almost entirely down to stress and anxiety, went away eventually but was a shock the affects anxiety can have on your body.

I have a huge problem with clenching my jaw. I do it during my sleep, but also during the day. I find myself with my mouth shut tight without realizing it. It gives me headaches, trouble with my ears, and jaw pain.

I started being more aware of this clenching, and it's going away slowly. I don't know any advice about it except try not to worry and try to catch yourself doing it.

I have suffered with this for many years now. Bruxism is caused by anxiety and stress. I have a mouth guard made from the dentist but it is hard to comply with wearing it. I have periods when it is worse than others. It will subside for a few then it will return. Just hang in there.

Oh forgot grinding and clenching can cause tinitis (ringing in the ears) this is normal according to my ear nose and throat specialist and will subside when your stress subsides and u grind less. It is scary tho cause I seriously questioned if I was hearing things but the high pitched ringing is to be expected so no reason to change my diagnosis to anything with a psychosis modifier ;)
