My house isn't ready for a dog yet but when it is I'm getting one for sure! Animals seems to calm me heaps! BUT! You can't take them everywhere :( so it won't help me feeling ignored..

Anyone who feels like they're being taken for granted would find assertiveness training to be helpful. If you're being taken for granted, being too aggressive or, on the other end of the spectrum, being too passive, can hold you back. Learning how to be assertive, on the other hand, is a skill that will get you noticed in a positive way.

Use this simple technique. Ask people questions about themselves and what interests them, they will start bonding to you. Try it and you'll see it will make a difference to you.
