It's only Day 11 however I'm going to call it early and declare this a success story!
I've consumed NO alcohol for 3 days and feel no desire.
I was never an alcoholic however I always felt I needed 1 or 2 glasses of anything to get through the day / and to sleep.
I used to panic when I ran out of alcohol! Now, I don't care.
I no longer feel riddled with anxiety for no reason.
It isn't all perfect, I notice there is still some irritability and low mood, I'm hoping in time this will also change and I will talk to my doctor about increasing my dose as I'm only on 10mg.
I know I have A LOT of work to do reversing all the bad habits and avoidance behaviours I've developed due to severe anxiety. Now I am on the path and feel like I am moving forward and that it is POSSIBLE.
Before Lexapro my reaction would be "NO WAY, I CAN'T DO THAT" when it came to doing the things that scared me.
Now, it's POSSIBLE :-)
In time hopefully this will become " I CAN DO IT"
Cautiously optimistic :)

That's great news!!!!! Thanks for sharing. I'm on day 8 and can see some improvements not there yet but still early on. I don't see my dr for 3 more weeks so by then it will be where I want it to or I'll go up to 15 mg
