i have seen a therapist to think more positive and used exercise to help relieve stress. but sometimes it does not make me feel better or black out the bad memories. so im hoping some of your might know some good ways to move on from past experiences you would prefer not to remember....

The way I have coped with past negative experiences is to find something positive from it. This is very hard at first but you can find a positive from every situation. Trying to black out memories only makes them stronger IMO

yes I agree, forcefully trying to black it out may not work, but may make it stronger. our mind is funny like that. I think how you cope depends on what type of memories it is. different types of memories may require different coping mechanisms. but in general, I find that a supportive partner helps heaps... and one of the worst thing to do is the spend your time alone thinking about it. being active and doing stuff is helpful, and talking about it to someone willing to listen is a great help too...

I have never looked at it that way. My Fiance tells me to forget but sometimes flash back are uncontrollable and i know he gets a little frustrated with me, but he tries his best. It's nice to know someone heard me. :) Thanks lovely's
