I get jaw pain if I open my mouth wide and my jaw clicks. Don't know if its anxiety related. Do you tense your jaw or grind your teeth a lot?

Hi, no I don't do anything I just get pains in my jaw both left and right when I'm feeling anxious, along with the chest and arm pains and I worry so much thinking its heart relates but I've recently just had my 24 hour ECG results back and they where all clear! X

You shouldn't worry. Anxiety causes a whole load of symptoms. I thought I was having a heart attack a few months ago and I'm only 23! I Haven't had any tests done and I'm alright! It's an awful thing to have to put up with but you'll be fine! x

No my doctor won't give me any for my anxiety as they say I'm too young and I wouldn't really want my life I depend on tablets anyhow, I just stick to the good old paracetamol lol x

I grind my teeth in my sleep or so people tell me, and yes jaw pain and tension is very common with anxiety sufferers. I have tmj. I used to get lock jaw and the it just turned into jaw pain when eating something crunchy or hard or that required me to open my mouth wide but now it's only if I chew a whole lot. It's gotten better over time.
