Increasing dose if already feeling crummy?

Hi there,

I'm supposed to increase my 25mg of Zoloft to 50mg this friday. I am still experiencing anxiety and am having trouble sleeping at night. I wonder if increasing it will make the symptoms even more intense or if they will stay about the same? At this point I don't think I would want/or could handle the symptoms to increase.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I had the same thing happen when my dr increased my Prozac, I couldn't sleep I was so much more anxious so she put me on a med called trazodone to take at night which was a lifesaver because it helped me sleep plus it was also a type of antidepressant so it helped me wake up feeling ready to take on the day, it helped me get through the transition of a higher dose of my Prozac. Yes i was scared to increase also, my anxiety really bad & panic attacks. Yesterday day 8 i increased a 1/4 of a pill not the half. So i went frm 25mg to 3/4 of 50mg. Sertraline(zoloft). I didnt notice any difference at all!! Good luck to u!!:)
