All the time!! But I'm trying something new, going outside for a walk everyday and just thinking how pretty things are. It's made me feel slightly more positive.

You need to understand the definition of "fight or flight"

F or F is a dramatic / drastic, primitive response to danger.

You may as well be hunted by a pack of hyenas or about to have a car crash - the response is the same.

Just imagine HOW you'd ACTUALLY feel if either scenario was true. I mean... what would you really feel?

<squeeky voice shouts out from the back of the audience... "you'd feel impending doom">

CORRECT! Now come on down and collect your prize

Absolute normal anxiety symptom.

Now what?

Now you accept the feeling, call it out, then practice a response to it that isn't fear

So, how can you respond to this feeling Mel?

Change your thinking and you'll change the way you respond to anxiety. It may still be there, but not control you.

It's like I'm afraid of the future for fear of what's to come, or that something bad will happen.

Impending doom. I remember that.
But it's a normal symptom as they're all saying. No worries. It'll pass as you recover. I'm at the stage right now where I never feel any symptoms anymore. Unless I like hear a door slam in the night when I know I'm home alone x.x or an object fall. But then I go investigate with a 12-gauge - Yeehawww Amurrrican.
