Switching Celexa to Zoloft

My doctor and I decided it would be best for me to switch from Celexa to Zoloft. I have been taking Celexa @ 10mg for 2 weeks.

Anyone else done this or something similar?

I've taken anti-depressants before and I know that the withdrawl symptoms can be horrible. I had the zaps really bad, for example, even after slowly tapering off. I have never switched from one med to another though so I wondered if maybe the symptoms wouldn't be as horrible... or (hopefully not) worse? I'm set to do it tonight so I was hoping to get some feedback so I'm not facing this unprepared. :)

Should be fairly smooth one ssri to the next except for going off medium/high dose paxil to another ssri. I bet you'll be fine as 10mg is not a high dose. Alankay

The doctor didn't seem concerned having me switch between the two right away (as in, I took Celexa 10mg last night - switch to Zoloft 12.5mg tonight). Even though I'm sure she wouldn't do anything to harm me, I over worry and over think things. At this point, I think if I pop that pill tonight I'll over think it. I want this to go as smooth as possible.

Has anyone switched between two meds abruptly like that? Please reply to me if you have :)
