One of my best friends, her bf is on a gen celexa. The only thing is, he's on it for depression not anxiety. Can anyone tell me about it or side effects? Her biggest question is, does it effect labido?

Yes it can but that can go away. If the dose is 10 mg, I bet that any reduction in libido will fade in time. If it's 20 mg is still can go away but might take longer. Many don't get any reduction on it. I was 20 mg for a while and never bothered me much in that respect. Some take a short break(drug holiday) after they get to feeling better and the sex drive comes right back. Then they resume taking the med after catching up on missed sex. :) Can't blame em at all. :) Alankay
