Never had this effect before, is this part of anxiety symptoms?...no other symptoms, except building shortness of breath.

Tingling in lips are very common! ...
It is a sign of hyperventilation.
Hyperventilation is when you are breathing in too much oxygen that you should, with your fast anxious breathing. This causes the carbon dioxide in your blood to lower and your oxygen levels to increase. This is not dangerous it's just very annoying !!
How to prevent: take 10 minutes out, take deep breaths in through nose, and out through mouth pushing your belly out! X

Panic attack :(

I'm just lingering on the edge of one....I'm beginning to think the lip tingling is coming from a chicken sandwich I ate earlier.

My lips usually tingle right before I have an anxiety attack that's how I know it's coming they like to sneak up on me

Actually, I think it IS some type of allergy. This morning, my lips feel almost like gritty, like I have sand on them , and they feel swollen, but don't actually look swollen. The tingling HAS gone away though.

Likely to be caused by hyperventilation or cold sore or allergy (to food or facial product)

It can also be a sign of nerve damage (through extreme temperatures / sunburn / toxic products)

If the symptom persists then you should seek medical attention.
