Hello, new to the forum. I'm 32 and was diagnosed with dystheimia about 3 years ago. It has escalated to full major depressive disorder and is pretty bad.

I warned my husband a few years ago that being around someone depressed could cause him to be depressed, but he didn't believe me.

Now I'm worse and he's a disaster. He doesn't want to admit anything is wrong with him and makes me feel like it's all my fault.

Our marriage is crumbling fast. I don't know what to do.

Any advice?

Nightingale, it can hard to find a good marriage therapist. But it's worth the effort.

^^ agreed. I am in the same spot, but i let my wife decide that we just aren't going anymore. Don't let either of you give up. Its hard but DOES help if you go with it.

The best advice I can give, appart from seeing couples therapy, is to take care of yourself. If your depression is causing him to feel depressed, then its possible that your recovery can help him recover.
