I am currently taking lexapro for my anxiety and last night I made the mistake of going out and drinking to the point where I got really drunk. Now I am afraid I am going to die or something serious is going to happen to me. Anyone else ever drink on ssris.?

Yeah. Can enhance the alcohol effect slightly and maybe make you a bit sleepy(during the drinking) but I just think you have a bit of a hangover in which case you can be anxious. This will pass. Get something to eat and drink enough water to get fully hydrated. Alankay.

You won't be the first and certainly won't be the last to drink on SSRI's. When I first started mine I felt I got drunk quicker. After being on SSRI's my tolerance increased. But now I tend not to drink at all as my hangovers were a total nightmare. You certainly will not die from boozing on them. Sounds like you have a bad hangover and as alan said, it will be triggering your anxiety.

Thanks guys. I am a huge hypo and I freak out about everything. It sounds silly now but at that moment I was freaking out :). Thanks for the comments
